You have not upgraded to Windows 10? Unfortunately, Microsoft insists
Recently users of Windows 7 and 8.1 started to get more aggressive reminders about the possibility of a free upgrade to Windows 10. The reason for this is that Microsoft has moved on to the next phase of dissemination of the new operating system. That phase is coming, the company warned at the end of last year. In particular, since yesterday (01.02) the company has started automatic download of Windows 10 to the user’s computer in the form of recommended updates.
The update is downloaded automatically only if Windows update is configured to independently receive recommended updates. In addition, contrary to what the update is downloaded without the user’s explicit consent, the installation of Windows 10 will not start until then, until the user gives their consent (at least for now).
Separately, it remains in force and the condition that if the user remains unhappy with the new system, he without any issues can return to a previous version within 31 days after the update.
You will hardly find those who like the new tactics of the company, though, because the automatic download installation files Windows 10 will «eat» the solid part of the system drive, while quietly and without asking «Can I?».
Anyway, in the foreseeable future the efforts of Microsoft to impose Windows 10 will remain aggressive – at least until the end of July, when the deadline for free updates.
