Windows 8.1 Update 1 has reached RTM Escrow status
According to rumors, Windows 8.1 update 1 will be released in April, however, this does not mean that the development cannot be completed before that. New screenshots published by Wzor suggests that the update has reached RTM Escrow status, which means soon Windows 8.1 Update 1 will be delivered to OEMs.
According to various rumors, Microsoft is planning to send Update 1 to PC manufacturers in late February-early March, while users will receive the update on April 8 in the so-called «Tuesday Patches» – the day each month when Microsoft rolls out new updates to fix bugs in Windows.
So that will be included in Windows 8.1 Update 1? It is known that at present Microsoft is focusing on changes that will make the operating system more convenient to operate it with keyboard and mouse. For example, on the start screen, a context menu will appear for the control of dynamic tiles. Furthermore, the initial screen will be added a search feature and buttons to shutdown/restart the computer. The changes will affect modern apps, and after updating them it will be possible to close/collapse the traditional way and attach to the taskbar. For more information, visit Wzor’.
