Windows 10 system requirements
Gone are the days when each new version of Windows demanded more powerful computer to be able to calmly and without nerves to work with all new opportunities, especially in terms of graphics.
The lack of significant changes in system requirements, was repeated with Windows 10, and this creates benefits for users, who have not the most pressing computer and has no plans to buy a new one.
The website Neowin cites an interesting discussion on Twitter, from which it appears that the requirements of Windows 10 to the apparatus means similar to those seen in Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Here is a minimal environment for running a new operating system:
- CPU: 1 GHz or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
- RAM: 1 GB (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
- Free space on hard disk: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
- Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 with WDDM driver
Not difficult to guess, Windows 10 will easily run on all current machines with Windows 7 and Windows 8, and in some cases even on older PC’s that meet the requirements described above. The only difference when compared with Windows 7 is support for PAE, NX, and SSE2 are not required for «seven», but are a prerequisite for Windows 10.
