What is usoclient.exe in Windows 10?
Each time you start Windows 10, you see a black window with the words WINDOWSsystem32usoclient.exe which then quickly disappears? It’s a system process or a virus? In this post we will try to answer some of your questions.
File usoclient.exe is in the System32 folder. File properties show that its size is 19.5 KB. Online analyzers suspicious files to VirusTotal and Jotti to confirm that usoclient.exe absolutely pure, i.e. is not malicious. But if you find a file with that name in any other folder, it is likely that this virus.
Original file usoclient.exe (the one that is WINDOWSsystem32usoclient.exe) is responsible for the execution of automatic scanning of the Windows update. In this you can see for yourself by opening a full-time Scheduler. Mention of this process you will find under task scheduler Library -> Microsoft -> Windows -> UpdateOrchestrator.
The reason pop up a console window every time system is a task Schedule Scan. It is clear. It is not clear why only on some computers window appears, and the other isn’t (in my case 1 out of 3), although the above mentioned task is on each of them. In any case, if you interfere with that, just disable the Schedule Scan and what’s more it won’t bother you. Disabling this task does not harm your system, only do not forget to manually check for new updates.
