Known Linux torrent client Transmission is now available for Windows
Program Transmission designed to work with torrents in Linux and Mac OS X is for users of these operating systems, what µTorren for Windows users. Easy and convenient, it allows you to download and create the distribution, it supports torrent files and magnet links, differing with the flexibility of settings, undemanding to system resources and the presence of the Russian language.
More than ten years this program was only available to users of Apple and Linux, now, to appreciate its advantages to the owners of devices running Windows. From µTorren similar customers Transmission differs little, except that it is even more simple. When downloading content, you can specify the directory to save the files, set the priority (normal, high, low), to validate local data.
Client features include automatic movement unnecessary of the torrent file to the Trash, the setting of limits on the speed of downloading and distribution, priority, connection via proxy server, and sort downloads by status (active, downloading, distributing, suspended, completed and verification) and have the site from which you downloaded the torrent file taken or magnet link. Available encryption, the creation of «black lists», remote access, automatic stop dispensing when you downgrade to a predetermined value, deleting the torrent along with the content and other additional features.
Information about the torrent you can get at its properties. It includes accessibility, the creation time of the torrent, current status and speed, time remaining before the download is complete, the final location of the uploaded file, number of peers, hash, privacy status and so forth.
Note: when you first launch the program may require your permission to connect to the network from the regular firewall. Also if you are going to use the Transmission on a regular basis, files TORRENT will need to associate with the program by hand.
Download Transmission for Windows, you can now, not only from the developer’s site and from the repository at download.transmissionbt.com/files. There you need to find and download files transmission-2.92-x64.msi and transmission-2.92-x86.msi for 64-bit and 32-bit systems, respectively. The link to the website of the developer will appear later, when the testing application is completed. It is possible that the program will include RSS support that is not available in preview.
