Vivaldi – new web browser from former CEO of Opera
Browser Spartan will be one of the key features of Windows 10, which the company wants to attract the attention of those of us who don’t like the vision and how running Internet Explorer.
While we continue to wait to try the new browser from Microsoft, the web is talking about another interesting project, which is being developed under the name of Vivaldi. This web browser created by a team led by former CEO and co-founder of Opera, Jon von Techprom.
As the basis of the browser developers have chosen a familiar Chromium. Vivaldi is still in an early stage of development, but is optimized to work on three most popular operating systems: Windows, Linux OS and Mac OS X.
Its interface resembles that of Opera, but Vivaldi looks a little better, at least I think so. One of the notable features of the browser interface is that the selected tab is painted in the main color of the website. There is in Vivaldi and the speed dial (where the same without it) with quick set that a long time ago was the exclusive function of Opera. Also interesting that the browser allows you to merge several separate tabs, for example to group them on the same topic that you are working on.
Other features are a handy bookmark, the ability to create text notes and screenshots directly from your browser. The app also offers different settings.
In the coming months, the developers promise to add many new capabilities, including data synchronization, email client and support for numerous plugins and add-ons.
