Ubisoft will stop making games for the Xbox 360 after 2015
Ubisoft CEO signed the death warrant of games for the platform of the previous generation Xbox 360. This became clear from an interview with Yves Gilmo, in which he stated that, in connection with an unexpected increase in sales of the current generation consoles such as Xbox One, the publisher will stop developing games for the Xbox 360 after 2015.
Ubisoft plans to release Assassin’s Creed Unity for Xbox One and other platforms this fall, but separately on the market this year will be another game named Assassin’s Creed Rogue, which is designed for the Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3.
«We see that this year is still going well for the PS3 and 360, but next year we will move to the new device. After 2015, it will be difficult to create games for those systems,» said the head of Ubisoft.
Despite the fact that publishers such as Ubisoft slowly but surely stop its development for the Xbox 360, it’s possible that Microsoft will continue to support their console for at least another few years.
