Toshiba dynaPad: 12″ tablet with Windows 10 and a thickness of only 6.9 mm
Tablets with Windows are not known for particularly compact dimensions as compared to those on iOS and Android, but Toshiba is ready to change with the new model dynaPad. The device is running Windows 10 and has the thickness of only 6.9 mm and weighs 569 grams, making it the thinnest 12-inch tablet on Microsoft, says the manufacturer.
Thanks to the optional hardware keyboard with a magnetic gripper, and a keystroke of 1.5 mm, the tablet becomes a compact laptop. With the keyboard the weight of the device increases to 996 grams, and a thickness of up to 14.9 mm.
Ease of drawing and writing handwritten notes is provided by the WACOM Active stylus Electro-Static (AES), which takes into account the force of pressure (2048 levels) and gives feelings similar to those when writing on paper.
Toshiba dynaPad is equipped with a Full HD display with a coating that reduces unwanted reflections and leaves no fingerprints. The tablet uses the Atom Cherry Trail processor, has 4 GB of RAM, and the USB-C port and HDMI.
Sales in Europe will begin in the first quarter of next year, but the cost of the device is not reported.
