Windows store: how to manually check for updates
By default, Windows 8.1 modern app updates automatically. This, however, does not mean that applications receive the updates without delay, so the operating system gives us the ability to check for new updates manually.
I am convinced from my own experience, that such a possibility know not all users and for this reason decided to talk about it on the pages of our website. I hope this information is useful to you.
First, open the Windows Store. Next, press Win + i to open the Settings pane, and then choose «app Updates».
You will be taken to a screen with the settings of the behavior of the Windows Store when it detects updates. By default automatic updates are enabled. If you don’t want the updates were downloaded and installed automatically, switch the slider to «No».
In order to initiate the search for updates manually on the same screen, click on the «Check for updates».
If updates are found, the Windows Store will notify you about this.
But if updates will not, you will see the following message:
To update the apps for which updates are available, click the «Install» button in the bottom toolbar.
As you can see, it’s very simple. If you have any questions feel free to ask via the comments form.
