Microsoft Office Mobile for Android tablets are not supported
Shortly after the debut of the mobile version of Office for iPhone, Microsoft has made available a package for Android users, and in almost the same terms – to view and edit documents, you must purchase a subscription to Office 365.
The app is compatible with Android 4.0 or newer platform versions, and currently only available to users in the US, but the company promises to gradually release it in 33 languages and 117 countries.
Office for Android can only be used on smartphones, and the launch of the version for tablets is even planned, so owners of such devices the company recommends using Office Web Apps.
Possibilities for editing of basic documents, that is, as the Windows Phone or iPhone. There are tools to make minor edits and formatting (underline, italic, change font color). You can also leave comments. Documents are saved to SkyDrive, and can be sent by email directly from the app.
Office Mobile for Android can be obtained in Google Play. The app itself is free, but again, I repeat, to use you need a subscription to Office 365.
