Microsoft: Edge became faster thanks to the November update
The recent major upgrade to the desktop version of Windows 10 includes several improvements specifically for the browser’s Edge, which continues to be touted as one of the most important elements of the new operating system, so Microsoft has seen fit to explain these changes in detail.
The company first recalled that, Edge is now working on the new improved version of the rendering engine EdgeHTML. New engine EdgeHTML13 includes a number of changes that make it faster than the previous one, the twelfth version of the EdgeHTML. According to the company, the new version of Microsoft Edge shows the result of 458 points in the HTML5Test benchmark – an improvement of 56 points compared to the previous version of the browser and 117 compared to Internet Explorer 11.
In conclusion, Microsoft said one version of the engine EdgeHTML on all kinds of Windows 10 devices: computers, smartphones, (currently in the program Windows Insider) and Xbox One (latest major update NXOE).
