Struggling with the error «We are unable to find the application. Error code 0x80070002» in the Windows Store
We all know that the Windows Store is the place where we can download modern applications (and/or universal in Windows 10), but because of various technical problems is not uncommon to have problems when they are loaded. They can be caused by a server-side or client computer, etc., etc.
Below is a message we can receive in the event of one of these errors:
We are sorry
We can’t find the app.
Error code 0x80070002
The key to solving this problem may be a simple restart the computer. However, in most cases, the problem persists even after multiple system restarts.
If that doesn’t work, run an automated Troubleshooting tool, which can interfere with the proper working of the apps from the Windows Store.
As an option – you can try to switch to a local account, and then change back to a Microsoft account.
None of this helped? Still experiencing this problem? Then follow these steps:
1. Press + E to open Windows Explorer. In the Explorer window, switch to the View tab and make sure that you have enabled the display of hidden items. Now navigate to the following folder:
where C: is the system drive letter, and username is the account name.
2. If inside the folder there is a folder v1 remote metadata store – remove it or move to another location. Close Windows Explorer.
3. Press + R, type regedit in the box to the window «Run» and press Enter to open registry Editor.
4. Follow this path:
5. Finally, delete the MSADisconnectState. Confirm the operation by clicking Yes in the window that appears.
Now close the registry Editor and restart the computer. After restarting try to download the application. I hope this time the download will take place without problems .
