Skype: deep integration in PCs, tablets and smartphones with Windows 10
Microsoft announced the integration of Skype in Windows 10 in the format of the Messaging, which was part of Windows 8, but then was «killed» with the release of Windows 8.1. It is noteworthy that the new app looks very similar to the program iMessage, which comes with the operating system from Apple.
Although a new app called «Messages», in fact this is the Lite version of Skype, which allows you to access your contacts to communicate with them through instant messaging or voice and video calls. All conversations will be automatically synced to all Windows 10 devices, including PCs, tablets and phones.
If you used iMessage in Apple OS X, the app’s interface will seem very familiar: in the «Message» is the same interface with two panels, the conversations presented in the same layout, and you’ll even notice the same circular image for contacts.
Microsoft is also beginning to link Skype IDs with mobile numbers for easier searching of people using the service. What differentiates Skype from other messaging services (from Apple, Google and others) is the fact that Skype runs on various platforms and this is a huge advantage.
The software giant said the new feature will be part of the program Windows Insider soon.
