Security Essentials has ceased to be the best choice according to Microsoft
For several years the Microsoft Security Essentials remains the only antivirus solution for many users of Windows 7, Vista and even XP. The launch of this antivirus has led to the objections of various antivirus companies who have publicly stated that antivirus software should not be part of Windows, and that Microsoft just can’t offer the level of protection, which are known leading anti-virus company. Of course, Microsoft has always claimed the opposite, but now the company has changed its way of thinking, calling your antivirus «baseline» and advises users to install third-party software to combat viruses, spyware and other threats.
It is unlikely that this news will be well received by users with loyalty to Microsoft Security Essentials (also known as Windows Defender in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1). Many already say that the company ceases to make efforts in this direction and refused a great product. In my opinion, Microsoft just felt the pressure from anti-virus companies that are likely to lose income due to the fact that Microsoft offers a good free antivirus home users.
There is no doubt that Security Essentials will continue to be the only choice for many users of Windows, especially for experienced. MSE is definitely better than other antivirus, mostly because it uses significantly less system resources, doesn’t bother users in any occasion and practically detects all common viruses and malware.
It is also worth noting that the software giant is not going to stop supporting Security Essentials. The company is just no longer recommend it as a full-featured anti-virus solution. Also keep in mind that if you are using Windows 8 or 8.1, you cannot uninstall Windows Defender, but when you install third-party antivirus operating system will automatically disable it.
What do you think about Microsoft? Will it turn you to another antivirus?
