Office Delve: a tool to enhance the productivity of corporate users
Today almost no one doubts that Microsoft provides the best software for professional community. Office 365, a Microsoft solution for interaction and collaboration in the cloud, which was launched in June 2011, was a success and thousands of companies around the world have purchased this package, which contains Lync, SharePoint, Exchange and office applications.
Today Microsoft has made another step forward in its strategy-oriented professional environment, running Office Delve for business customers in the framework of the annual conference, Convergence 2015, which focuses on this category of users. During his speech, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella demonstrated the benefits of the new tool.
Delve uses very sophisticated methods of machine learning Office Graph to help people find documents, discussions and communications in Office 365. This tool finds the relationship between one user and other, and displays this information in the interface based on «cards».
The company claims that Delve helps teams work more productively by providing a computer the ability to display information and trends even faster and more efficient. Delve also has a powerful search mechanism that allows users to explore customers to find information about the task at hand and stay in the cycle of the project – all within Office 365.
Delve retrieves information from various s such as SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, Office 365 Video Yammer and e-mail attachments.
Currently the tool is available for Office 365 E1-E4, but then the offer will be extended to users of Office 365 Business Essentials and Business Premium.
