Office 2016 for Windows will be available from 22 September
Since the last publication in the official Office blog, Microsoft confirmed that Office 2016 for Windows will be released September 22. From that date, subscribers of Office 365 Personal and Home will be able to manually download the update. The distribution of automatic updates will begin in October.
For users of Office 365 ProPlus (version subscribe to office applications for businesses and organizations), the update will be released on 22 September, but the company will offer a new model of the Current Branch for Business, based on three cumulative updates per year. First build for Current Branch for Business will be available in February 2016 and will include the same features as the September issue, but with the security updates that will be released during these months.
With the features of Office 2016 for Windows (not to be confused with an office Suite optimized for touch devices) is available right now by downloading the preview. Among the new features worth mentioning the possibility of co-editing, real-time search tool and Tell Me the function of Insights (access context information directly inside the document).
