To shut down and restart the computer in Windows 8.1 Update 1 will become easier
Wzor released new screenshots of Windows 8.1 Update 1. This time they show that Microsoft is a much easier way to shutdown and reboot the OS. The new images clearly visible power button directly on the home screen near user name and the new search button.
Those screenshots show that Microsoft added to the start screen and the shortcut menu that opens by clicking the right button of the mouse on the tiles of the Metro applications or desktop programs. This innovation will allow you to get better (than now) access to common functions – resizing tiles, unpinning from the start screen, and pinning to the taskbar. The latter, incidentally, is also a new option for Metro applications.
New context menu and hints to the future plans of Microsoft for the integration of modern UI with the desktop. Also, it is clear that all changes in Windows 8.1 Update 1 will be designed to simplify working with the OS using the keyboard and mouse, and not on merging programming interfaces (APIs) to those on Windows Phone 8.1.
In addition to the changes in the interface, Update 1, reportedly will reduce RAM requirements and disk space to make Windows more suitable for a compact and cheap tablets. Of course, Microsoft is preparing other changes (the return of the start menu, for example), but they are much more likely to be included in the next edition of the operating system (Windows 9) that will be released in April 2015, but rumor has it that it will happen a little earlier.
