N1 – lightweight cross-platform email client from Nylas
A list of email clients once again added a new software product with concise name N1, this time from little-known startup until Nylas. The app is still in beta stage, but already looks very promising. Initially, the client was only available for Mac OS, but the developers have added support and other platforms, in particular Windows and Linux.
But cross-platform is not the only benefit of the program. N1 has a light interface in the style of the web, plugins and open source, which should attract attention to the project free developers and make it as popular. And I must say, the chances of becoming internationally known N1 is.
Currently, the program supports Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, iCloud and Yahoo and also can work with custom IMAP/SMTP servers.
A GUI client is executed in style of minimalism and more like a web page, mail server Gmail, than a desktop application. From left are categories of letters on the right you can see the list of received mail.
Of course, writing you can view, delete, tag, etc. Special functionality a beta version N1 not yet characterized, but the fact that there is, is enough.
Creating and sending emails is supported, you can connect the new mailbox and quickly switch between them, attaching to outgoing correspondence file of the additional features include work in offline mode, create new directories, change the light theme to dark.
But most importantly N1 is yet to come. According to developers, in the future, application functionality will be expanded thanks to plug-in plug-ins, some of which can be assessed today. Thus, among the client’s available plugins it is possible to note the translator based on Yandex Translate API that allows you to quickly translate emails from one language to another.
