Mozilla has released Firefox 40 with optimizations for Windows 10
A few weeks ago, Mozilla announced the preparation of its Firefox for Windows 10. And now, after two weeks since the official launch of the new operating system, the company released the Firefox 40.
This version brings constructive changes, due to which the browser interface goes well with the style of Windows 10. For this reason, if you compare the new Firefox Microsoft Edge, you’ll notice some similarities.
Also in the new version the developers have added a warning when loading extensions that are not digitally signed, and additional protection against downloading unwanted software. Among other changes, improved animation and scrolling using hardware acceleration.
It is important to note that Firefox 40 is not a Windows Store app (the project was frozen by the company in 2014) or a universal app that can be installed on any Windows 10 device. It’s all the same a desktop browser, but with minor changes in design.
