Microsoft wants to replace Ballmer before the end of this year

Anyway, the Microsoft Board of Directors intends to find a replacement for Ballmer until the end of this year, according to Bloomberg. The exact date of the announcement of the new Executive Director depends on the negotiations about compensation to Ballmer, he will receive, if the Board of Directors will choose a person outside the company.

Steve Ballmer, who led Microsoft for the past 13 years, said in August that he would leave his post, and it will happen within 12 months – the time that was allotted for the search for his successor.
