Microsoft releases Windows 10 IoT Core Insider Preview
At the Build Developer Conference 2015, Microsoft has shared news about the software used for the area «Internet of things». In particular, the company released the Windows 10 IoT Core Insider Preview. This is a version of Windows 10 is designed for devices such as Raspberry Pi 2 and Minnowboard Max from Intel.
In February Microsoft confirmed that it is preparing to release a special version of Windows 10 support the Raspberry Pi 2, and the launch of the preview version of Windows 10 IoT Core is the first tangible sign that the company is close to its goal.
Microsoft also announced a new partnership with Arduino, which is to create a version of Windows 10 that can be used on a wide range of devices, combining the hardware Arduino and the software Windows. So, Windows 10 is the first operating system «Arduino Certified». The first fruit of this partnership was the introduction of Windows Remote Windows Virtual Arduino and Shields.
