Microsoft releases tool to migrate from Evernote to OneNote
App for taking notes with Microsoft OneNote can be used on devices running operating systems other than Windows. However, many people postpone their transition to «purple app» only for the reason that you can’t migrate existing notes from another popular app – Evernote.
Fortunately, since yesterday it is no longer an obstacle, as Microsoft has released a tool to automatically migrate notes from Evernote to OneNote. It is available for Windows and requires Windows 7 or newer operating system. Option for Mac OS X will be released in the near future.
How to transfer content from Evernote to OneNote? The company has tried to make this process as simple as possible:
- Download the official migration tool by clicking here on this link;
- Run the program and follow the instructions;
- Select your Evernote notebooks;
- Sign in to your Microsoft account;
- Click on the Import button.
Then your notes will be imported and automatically synchronized between all devices on which you installed OneNote.
To ensure rapid migration, it is recommended that Evernote was installed on the computer. Also before you import sign in to Evernote with your account and make sure that it is synced.
