Microsoft released Windows Phone app for backup of contacts and messages on SD
Although the original memory card support in Windows Phone was very limited, over time it has expanded and improved, with additional options, including the ability to install applications to external memory and even use it to download and install system updates.
Now Microsoft has taken another step in this direction, releasing a simple application contacts+message backup, which allows you to backup messages on SD memory.
After installation in the settings menu a new option will be (the app will not appear in the list of installed applications), where you can export contacts and messages (SMS and MMS) to the VCF and XML formats respectively. These files are saved in a folder on the memory card, which can be accessed through the file browser.
And, of course, the same application provides the ability to restore contacts and messages from a previously created backup. For this you need to make sure that the VCF and XML files are in the appropriate folder, and then select them and restore.
Yes, it should be noted that the application is not suitable for devices without a microSD, and still in the current version there are compatibility problems with dual SIM devices (Dual SIM) which must be solved in a future update.
