Microsoft released Remote Desktop app for Windows Phone 8.1
In October last year, Microsoft released an official Remote Desktop app for iOS and Android, and then announced the upcoming version of their mobile platform. Today, it is an application that allows you to remotely manage computers running Windows directly from the screen of a smartphone has finally become available to Windows Phone users, still only in preview only for Windows Phone 8.1.
Interface Remote Desktop for WP 8.1 is very simple, and the process of adding a remote machine running almost instantly: you just need to enter the IP address or computer name to which we want to connect to and create a shortcut to it. Clicking on the shortcut, you can start to control a remote PC right from your smart phone, which was upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1.
To enable remote access on the computer, open the System properties window, and then click «remote settings». On the tab «Remote access» enable the checkbox «Allow remote assistance connections to this computer» and «Allow remote connections to this computer» and then click «Apply».
Now open the app, tap the «+» button and enter the IP address of the computer you want to connect to and save it. Click on the new shortcut and enter the details for your Microsoft account (username and password) that are used on your PC.
If when you connect you will see a page with a certificate error, select the check box next to «Don’t ask again for this certificate» and click «Connect» to start a remote connection to your PC.
