Microsoft patched the vulnerability in Windows 8.1, which was discovered by Google employees
Since today is the so-called «Tuesday Patches», Microsoft has released eight updates to the system security: one is rated as critical and the remaining seven updates are evaluated important and are designed to address eight vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows.
All the updates are for major versions of Windows including Windows 8.x, Windows RT 8.x, Windows 7 and Windows Server. Among these updates is the (KB3023266), which closes a security hole in Windows 8.1, which has become in recent days a real media event, especially after Microsoft’s critics in the address of Google, which announced not only the existence of vulnerabilities, but also told how to exploit it, while being aware that the patch is almost ready.
Microsoft released a patch for the latest build of Windows 10 (build 9879), which is a security update for Flash in Internet Explorer.
As always, if you have enabled automatic updates, the updates will be installed automatically. However, you can always open the «Windows update» and install all the January updates manually.
