Microsoft might release Windows Threshold earlier than expected
The amount of information about the next major update to Windows (codenamed Threshold) is getting more, but even though we already know something about the new features, exact release date still remains a mystery. According to previous rumors, the update Threshold should be out in spring 2015, but now there is reason to believe that this will happen during 2014.
Despite the fact that it is still too early to talk about it, Paul Tarrot claims that Windows Threshold will be released next year. Mary Jo Foul, however, earlier it was mentioned that the release of the updates will take place until spring 2015 At the moment, it is difficult to say who is right and who is wrong, but both and has long proved itself as very reliable.
Earlier the same Floor Tarrot wrote that Microsoft plans to return the full «start menu» and add a new feature, which Windows Store apps can run in windowed mode.
So should I wait for Windows Threshold (Windows 8.2) in the next year? It is very possible, given that Microsoft previously announced the transition to an annual release cycle, so the release of one major update in October or November of 2014 seems logical.
Anyway, now it’s just speculation, so take this info with a grain of salt.
