Microsoft Lync will be called Skype For Business in 2015
Events around Microsoft developing very rapidly lately, and in just a few hours after the premiere of the smartphone Lumia 535 appeared some interesting details about the company’s plans.
It turns out that the software giant intends to change the name of your business platform Lync, through which corporate users of Microsoft offer a quick and convenient tools for chat and calls and conduct conference calls with your colleagues. The change will take effect next year.
The publication TNW reports that the new version of Lync will be called Skype For Business. This brand will be used in the second half of 2015 the Service will be different the new interface and an updated version of the Skype For Business Server.
Currently, Skype is used by about 300 million people daily, while Lync has a user base consisting of thousands of organizations and business clients around the world. The integration between them will allow Microsoft to compete more effectively with Facebook Messenger, which has already passed through the mark of 500 million users.
