Microsoft is getting ready to release insider build of Windows 10 Redstone
Exactly a week ago, Microsoft released the November update for the Windows 10, marking the first major update for the operating system. Now is the time to start talking about the next step in the development of Windows 10, namely, about Redstone. Formally, this update will not be released until the summer of 2016, but the participants of the preliminary assessment will proceed to testing it much earlier than this date.
The answer to the question «when» while it is impossible to give with certainty, but an interesting clue is already there.
On the one hand, the WinBeta website, citing «several ov», announced that Microsoft will seek to release the first Assembly by the end of this year. On the other hand, it turns out that along with the previously released today a cumulative update KB3118754 insiders have been translated into the development branch of Redstone (rs1_release). It is easy to guess that Microsoft has started to prepare the PC program participants Windows Insider to receive new preview builds of Windows 10. To see this in person, just open the registry, navigate to HKLM>Software>Microsoft>WindowsSelfHost>Applicability and find the parameter BranchName. It must be set to the value rs1_release.
Now a priority at Microsoft to finish deploying Windows 10 build 10586, as the process has started but not yet completed.
