Microsoft is closing the Xbox division of R&D in China

Microsoft continues its internal reorganization in all of its divisions worldwide. As part of the new wave of cuts, the American company suddenly decided to dismiss all employees of the centre for research and development (R&D) at the Xbox in Shenzhen, China, local media reported.

Claim that the company will move operations this R&D in the US, despite the lack of official statements from the headquarters in Redmond.

According to the publication in Shenzhen Business News, leadership, Microsoft held an emergency meeting with employees in late October, at which they were informed that the R&D division will be closed.

However, no one received usual in such cases, notice of one month. Microsoft has offered workers compensation in the amount of $ 2,560 plus one month’s wages. However, the staff EN masse refused to sign the agreement and urged the company to comply with the local rules.
