Microsoft introduced Windows IoT Core Starter Kit
Windows 10 operating system designed for various devices, including falling in the «Internet of things». Today in promoting the abilities of the new operating system software to be the core for the aforementioned smart devices, Microsoft in partnership with Adafruit released a Windows Core IoT Starter Kit.
The unit includes an SD card pre-installed operating system and a set of sensors, electronic components and cables that are certified for compatibility with Windows 10 IoT core. All of these components can be used in combination with a Raspberry Pi Board 2, which by the way is also part of the package (although the company offers the option and without Pi 2). All this is accompanied by documentation that explains how to start creating your first projects. In essence, a set designed for «budding geeks» who want to experiment with the Raspberry Pi2 in combination with Windows IoT Core.
Complete kit — with the plate — sold for $ 114.95 (version without Pi2 can be rented for $ 75). Here you will find a detailed list of the components included in the kit.
