Microsoft indirectly confirmed that the release of Windows 10 Redstone 2 will take place in 2017
About two weeks ago we found out the approximate release dates of Redstone, the next major upgrade for Windows 10 to be released in two stages. According to s several American journalists, Microsoft has decided to postpone the second stage (Redstone 2) at the beginning of 2017. This is unofficial information, but it seems that yesterday during a presentation at the game developers conference, the company indirectly confirmed it.
In particular, Microsoft announced plans to introduce native support for HDR in Windows 10. The company said that this feature will become available to the General public in 2017, but the developers (along with the participants of the Insider program) will be able to start testing it this year.
This statement corresponds to the words of the American press that the official release of Windows 10 Redstone 2 is scheduled for 2017, but the insiders will get early access to the update at the end of this year.
Microsoft needs to officially lift the curtain on new features of Windows 10 Redstone at the Build conference, which will be held at the end of this month.
