Microsoft has released an update KB2880312 for Windows 8.1 Preview in preparation for the launch of the final version of the OS
Although Windows 8.1 has reached RTM stage, it does not mean that this is the finished product, so Microsoft will continue to release fixes and improvements before and after 18 October, the day which is the official release date of the new OS.
In preparation for the big day, the software giant has released an update for the preview version of Windows 8.1, which promises the whistle to minimize the likelihood of problems during the upgrade to the final version of Windows 8.1.
This is not the first time Microsoft is releasing a similar update. If you remember, in June, the company released an update for Windows 8 users so they can install the preview version of 8.1.
Update got a room 2880312 and the company describes it as follows:
«This update for Windows 8.1 Preview streamlines the process of migrating to the RTM version of Windows 8.1. After installation the probability of failure when you upgrade through the Windows Store will be reduced».
