Microsoft has released a security patch to IE for every OS version including Windows XP
Microsoft has released a patch for the vulnerability that was recently discovered in all versions of Internet Explorer, and even though the company no longer supports Windows XP, 13-year-old operating system also received the update security.
Let me remind you that the last weekend in every version of Internet Explorer emerged the vulnerability allows attackers to gain full control over victim’s computer. Typically Microsoft releases new updates for its operating systems every second Tuesday of each month, but this time the tightening and decided to act quickly. Thus, since yesterday, Windows update available security update (KB2964358) for Internet Explorer 11, 10, 9, 8, 7 and 6.
We took decisions about the release of security updates for Windows XP users. Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, and we continue to encourage users to upgrade to a modern operating system like Windows 7 or 8.1. In addition, customers are encouraged to upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer, IE 11.
The company also noted that the decision to release the updates for Windows XP was made taking into account the fact that the end of support OS recently, on 8 April 2014.
