Microsoft canceled Fable Legends
Yesterday Microsoft officially announced the termination of work on the multiplayer co-op game Fable Legends, which has been in development since 2012. The news came as a surprise, as only last week the developers have released the keys for the next phase of closed testing of the game.
Looks like this project will be the last for legendary Lionhead studios, created by Peter Molyneux. The software giant has already started negotiations with the staff and started the procedure of redistribution of the resources of the Studio.
However, good news for gamers who have invested real money in the game is still there. «We will fully refund the money spent on the purchase of gold in the game,» according to Lionhead on the official Fable Legends website.
Fable Legends will continue to operate until April 13. Active players will be able to continue your adventure, but creating a new account anymore. Common last week, beta keys will fail to activate.
Lionhead Studios was founded in 1996 by Peter Molyneux, mark Webley, Tim Ransome and Steve Jackson. In April 2006 the Studio was acquired by Microsoft. During its 20-year history the Studio has created some of the most innovative and favorite games, the most famous of which is the Fable series and strategy game Black and White.
