Microsoft bought another popular app for Android
Microsoft has acquired Double Labs, the developer of the popular Android app Echo Notification Lockscreen, which allows you to configure content displayed on the lock screen of the smartphone and tablet.
With the merger the number of applications to control the Android lock screen, which Microsoft owns, has increased to two: at the end of last year the developers released the app Next Lock Screen in the project Microsoft Garage.
To explain such excessive interest of the company in respect of applications to enrich the opportunities lockscreen in Android, Julie Larson-green, who occupies the post Microsoft Chief Experience Officer, gave a few comments to Business Insider.
According to her, the resources of the Labs Double as the experience gained with the project, Next Lock Screen, will be a platform for experimentation and the opportunity to get feedback from Android users, which is much more than a Windows Phone.
The ultimate goal is clear, States Business Insider: much of what will be done with Echo Next Lock Screen, will be integrated into Windows 10, Office and any other Microsoft product, which provides for the notification system.
