Microsoft accepts universal Windows apps
Microsoft began taking applications for the category Unniversal Apps via the Dev Center portal. Thus, users can buy apps once and use them on all Windows devices that they have.
This change will affect applications with the function to buy content. Besides the fact that both applications will use the same IDs, they will be the same price. By the way, the first universal app was the game Halo: Spartan Assault.
Despite the ambitions of Microsoft to make apps for Windows universal, the authors of the software will be able to decide whether to follow this policy or not. In addition, the markets in which it works with PayPal, Microsoft will allow developers to check-in without credit card but with registration in PayPal. The authors also applications for Windows Phone will be able to reserve names for new applications in the 12 months prior to launch – something that’s already possible for Windows applications.
