In August, HTC may release a version of the HTC One M8 with Windows Phone 8.1
In fact, this information should not be a surprise to those of you who have been following the world of high technology… Here’s a little background… the Cooperation between Microsoft and HTC almost always was very successful. An example of this is the existence of HTC smartphones running Windows Mobile from the recent past. Later, with the advent of Windows Phone, the Taiwanese have released several devices with the new mobile operating system software giant.
Let me remind you that until recently, Windows Phone had a number of limitations (e.g., lack of support FHD displays) that don’t like HTC, so after 2012, the manufacturer has suspended work in the segment of Windows Phone.
Towards the end of 2013, with the release of Windows Phone 8 update GDR3, which brought the long-awaited support for 1080p displays, there were the first rumors about Windows Phone 8 device from HTC with the design of the model One (the original HTC One M7). Unfortunately, those rumors have not been confirmed.
And now the Internet, speculation began about the version of HTC One M8 with Windows Phone 8.1. In this case we are talking not only about the similarity in appearance (aluminum housing and the design itself), but also in the characteristics. Thus, we can expect a 5-inch FHD display (1920×1080 pixels), Quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset from Qualcomm with 2.3 GHz and support memory cards up to 128 GB. Of course, we also hope to see the Duo Ultrapixel Camera and two stereo speakers from the original One M8.
Reportedly, the device can be presented already in August.
