HP Elite X3: technical specifications and the first photos of the new smartphone with Windows 10 Mobile
After-sale Nokia Lumia 930 mobile platform from Microsoft for a long time remained without a new flagship device that could compete with the flagships of other companies. While other manufacturers released new high-end smartphone, Microsoft remained silent, partly due to the acquisition of Nokia.
By the end of 2015, the software giant finally broke its silence, releasing a flagship Lumia 950 and the version with index XL. Both devices have received a great performance, but was overshadowed by the case design which was created without the good old traditions of the Nokia Lumia line and it’s flagship.
It turns out, to the delight of fans of the mobile OS from Microsoft, is there another manufacturer that can show their vision of the flagship smartphone with Windows 10 Mobile. And this is not some Chinese nonam, and is known throughout the world, HP.
The device you see in the photos is smartphone HP Elite X3 with Windows Mobile 10, which is also known under the code name HP Falcon.
According to, HP Elite X3 is equipped with a large 5.96-inch display with a QuadHD resolution, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB of internal memory expandable (up to 200 GB), USB Type-C and 16-megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front cameras. In addition, it is reported that smartphone has a retinal scanner (for Windows Hello) and supports Continuum, and its body has a high resistance to water and dust (IP67). But that’s not all: the novelty of standing immersion in water to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes and is not afraid of thermal shock (-20° to 55°).
It is most likely that the smartphone will be presented at the exhibition Mobile World Congress 2016, which will open on 22 February.
