How to prevent users from changing personalization settings in Windows 8
Open «local group policy Editor». Here you need to navigate to the folder «Personalization» (user Configuration/Administrative templates/control Panel/Personalization).
After navigating to the required folder in the right window you will see a list of all settings in the «Personalization». Next to each policy setting include the condition.
To restrict all users from the personalization settings, select the desired parameter in the list and click «Edit policy setting» (or double-click the left mouse button). A separate window opens that allows you to configure the value for the selected policy item. In the upper part of this window will be available in three options – Not configured, Enabled, and Disabled. To enable a restriction, select «Enabled» and click «OK».
Follow the same steps to disable other personalization options.
Now, any user opened the dialog box «Personalization» will not be able to change the settings to which you have restricted access.
The ability to specify these restrictions will be especially useful in a corporate environment, or administrators of public computers that don’t want other users snooping around in the settings of personalization.
