How to make a transparent command prompt window in Windows 10
Command prompt in Windows 10 has a few new features that seem to have been borrowed from Linux. As in any popular Linux distribution (say Ubuntu or Mint) where you can change the transparency of the screen, Windows 10 allows to make a transparent command prompt window. There is some benefit – first of all, you can read the instructions in the browser using transparent command prompt window and run them. But in addition, the transparent window looks very cool.
If you want to make the window command line interface in Windows 10 is transparent, then follow these steps:
Step 1: Open a command prompt by pressing Win + X and selecting «Command prompt» (Command prompt) from the menu that appears in the lower left corner of the screen.
Step 2: Now that command prompt is open, move the mouse cursor to the title bar of the window and click the right mouse button. Next, select «Properties» («Properties»).
Step 3: In the properties window of the command prompt, select «Experimental». Next, check the box next to «Enable experimental console features». Now just select the level of opacity («Opacity»). To make the window transparent, you have to choose a level of less than 100%.
Step 4: Click «OK» to save the settings.
Now the window should become transparent. If this does not happen immediately, try to restart the command prompt.
