How to enable compact view for the navigation pane in Outlook 2013
If you are using Outlook 2013 on a computer with a small screen, you might not want the navigation bar at the bottom of the window displayed in full size. Fortunately, this panel can easily be made more compact.
To make a plan, we need to get to the «navigation Options», which you can access in several ways.
First method: click on the «…» button in the bottom navigation bar and choose «navigation Options», as shown in the screenshot below.
Second method: go to the View tab, and under «Layout» click on the «Region folders» and choose «Options».
Now in the dialog box the «navigation Settings» enable «Compact navigation». Then click «OK».
[vc_message color=»alert-info»]note: you can also use this dialog box to change the number of items that are visible in the navigation pane, and change the order in which items are displayed.[/vc_message]
Once you click on the «OK» button, the navigation bar will be significantly reduced in size, and the buttons are represented by icons and not text.
