How to fix the spontaneous folding or closing modern apps in Windows 8 and later versions
Being rejected in the past, Modern applications (they are also modern, and more recently, universal) is gradually becoming an integral part of the process of exploitation of Windows 8 and later operating system, at least on touch devices.
Very often, however, these applications show a peculiar behavior when working with them, and it can terribly annoying. One of the most common problems stems from the fact that they at one point just stop start without apparent reason, and recently I have encountered another strange behavior: the app minimized or closed immediately after opening.
This issue is known by Microsoft, and I hope it will be solved in one of upcoming updates, or at least in Windows 10. But now, if you are faced with this problem on your system, here’s what you can try to fix this problem.
NOTE: the errors in the registry management may adversely affect the operation of the system. So be careful when editing registry entries, and even better, if you create a system restore point before proceeding.
