Free from AOMEI PE Builder
The developers of AOMEI has released another fantastic free utility for Windows OS. AOMEI PE Builder is a handy tool for creating bootable media without installing Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK).
Bootable media created with AOMEI PE Builder can be used to manage hard drives, backup or troubleshoot issues with Windows in case of system failure.
Since PE Builder is based on Windows PE, it includes the familiar taskbar, start menu and Windows Explorer.
Also in the PE Builder a software Partition Assistant Standard and AOMEI Backupper Standard, i.e. you can use a bootable CD / USB to manage your hard drive and backup without loading the operating system. So if your Windows is not booting anymore and nothing helps to bring it back to life, you can use this tool to backup your data before reinstalling Windows.
In addition to these two tools from AOMEI PE Builder also includes a tool for restoration and repair of the system and a built-in utility for disk management.
Features of PE Builder:
- Creating bootable media based on WinPE WAIK without
- The ability to add your own portable tools
- The ability to add device drivers
- Familiar user interface with a task bar, start menu and Desk
- The ability to connect to the Internet to scan your computer for viruses
Returning to the features, it should be noted that the tool allows you to customize bootable media by adding portable tools and drivers. For example, using PE Builder bootable media you can add 7-Zip, VLC, Notepad++ and many other favorite tools. The ability to add your own Toolbox is certainly a highlight of this software, as none of the other free PE-builders do not offer this functionality.
Another important feature is that PE Builder allows you to connect to the Internet to search for viruses on your computer. Thus, you can use the bootable media to remove viruses and other suspicious files from your PC.
The current version (1.0) PE Builder compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8, Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012, but does not support Windows 8.1, XP and Vista, so you will not be able to install the software on computers running these operating system. However, the bootable media created on a computer with Windows 7 or 8 will work with Windows 8.1 and other versions.
