Eliminate the problem of blurry fonts with DPI scaling in Windows 10
DPI scaling in Windows 10 is different than in Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1. So if upgrading to the new operating system, you are faced with the problem of a blurred text, you know – you are not alone.
In Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 scaling of the interface to 125% or above on monitors with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels increases the size and, consequently, the readability of the text on the screen. In Windows 10, however in many dialogs and Windows, the font becomes very blurred. This is because the new operating system uses a different approach to DPI scaling. The problem can be solved with a simple free tool Windows 10 DPI Fix from XPExplorer.
Run the utility, select «Use Windows 8.1 DPI scaling», click «Apply» and the problem of blurring of fonts is resolved.
Some important points that you should keep in mind if you plan to use Windows 10 DPI Fix:
- The program must be in the startup. It will be launched along with the OS, but only for a few milliseconds. After adjusting DPI utility closes automatically.
- In Edge some Flash elements will look smaller, but this problem can be solved by using another browser.
