Close Threshold: setting tool for closing Modern apps in Windows 8.1
If you are using the latest version of Windows i.e. Windows 8.1, you might notice that the modern way of closing apps has changed. Now, to fully close an app, drag it to the bottom of the screen and hold for a few seconds until it will not turn over.
Today I would like to introduce you to a small but very useful utility to manage the closing of Modern apps. Tool which is called Close Threshold was created by Sergey Tkachenko (WinAero). Use it to close apps easier. Default to close the app, you have to make a move with the mouse (or the so-called the gesture «swipe», if you have a device with a touch screen) to the bottom of the screen. However, after some manipulation to Close Threshold, the movement may be much shorter. In addition, the app can significantly reduce the time of turning applications.
Just drag the sliders to the left, then click on the «Apply & Restart Explorer» button to apply changes and restart «Windows Explorer», and you will no longer have to drag the Modern app to the bottom edge. If you need to return to the default settings, click on the «Reset to defaults».
It looks like a Close interface Threshold:
Following are the features of the app:
- acceleration of closing Modern apps with a mouse;
- acceleration of closing Modern apps using gestures;
- acceleration functions «flip to close».
