Changes in Microsoft touched on the Board of Directors
It seems, promised a new and «unique» strategy, Microsoft has entered into full force under the leadership of new CEO Satya Nadella.
Two months ago, he announced that their new strategy includes focus on mobile devices and cloud services, and also restructuring of divisions to make it more «user-oriented, fast and focused on improving quality». Under the new strategy, we can mention the plan for the unification of all Windows versions under the same name.
Last month Steve Ballmer, the former head of Microsoft, left the company’s Board of Directors, leaving a vacancy. This week it became clear that Nadella intends to transform the Council by adding new members.
Until the end of the year, the Council will leave Dave Marquardt and Dina Dublon. Marquardt is one of the first investors in Microsoft, Dublon member of the Council since 2005
In their place will be Teri List-Stoll, who is chief financial officer of Kraft Foods Group Inc and Charles Scharf, the head of Visa Inc. They will join the Board on 1 October.
Changes to the Council indicate a willingness to Nadella change Microsoft. Bill gates turned the job of President in February, Ballmer left the Board in August.
