8-inch KingSing W8 with Windows 8 is an attractive alternative to Android tablets
The threat of Microsoft to flood the market with cheap Windows tablets coming true. Several companies have already prepared the device at a price below $ 100, and it is expected that other manufacturers will also join them.
Emdoor I8080 is one of the first «swallows» in the market. 8-inch tablet with Windows 8.1 will be supplied at a price of $ 100. IPS screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and under the hood is a Quad-core processor Intel Atom Z3735E clock frequency of 1.33 GHz that accelerates up to 1.83 GHz in turbo mode. Also available is 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal flash memory.
Another similar device is named KingSing W8 – the first Windows tablet from the Chinese company, which until now only offered Android devices. According to GizmoChina, the model is equipped with 8-inch IPS-screen with a resolution of 800×1280 pixels, a Quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T (1.8 GHz) and Intel HD graphics, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory (expanded through SDHC/SDXC) and a 2-megapixel front camera.
KingSing W8 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G, has ports microUSB and HDMI, and battery capacity of 4500 mAh provides 6 to 8 hours of battery life. The tablet has dimensions 207.5 x 122.6 x 10 mm and runs under Windows 8.
Sale Emdoor I8080 and KingSing W8 will begin in the coming months, as Microsoft promises that this is only the beginning. Both devices do not offer superior performance but are a great alternative to the standard available to Android devices.
That is the purpose and pursuing Microsoft to compete with Android in emerging markets with cheap devices running Windows 8.1, which can promote a modern operating system and convince more users to switch to it.
