Add tabs to Microsoft Office
Nowadays, the use of a web browser without tabs seems to be something unthinkable. The days of browsing in separate Windows are long gone, although one of the tools we need on each computer still retains approach «for each session your window.»
Of course we are talking about Word, the most popular in the world of the word processor, which is a key part of the Microsoft Office package. He still does not support tabs, but, as in the case with most other products the software giant you can extend its capabilities by using third-party tools; add tabs, for example, using Office Tab and in this short article I will explain how to do it.
The developer says that its software is compatible with Microsoft Office 2010, 2007 and 2003, but using Office Tab in conjunction with the Office 2016 Preview to the Public no issues were noticed by me.
Download the program from the official website. The installation file weighs around 14.4 MB, so it shouldn’t take much time.
Install The Office Tabs. During installation select program as part of the Office to which should be added tabs. Word is the obvious choice, but Office Tabs enables you to work with tabs in Excel and PowerPoint.
That’s about it. Now open Word or other program into which you want to add tabs, along the top toolbar you will see the result of the installation.
If at the end of the procedure install the Office Tabs you have not removed the check box «Change settings», then you will see a window that allows you to configure the style and behavior of tabs.
If the window does not open, it can be run manually using the shortcut on the desktop.
From here you can change the appearance of tabs, separately for Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Office Tabs offers rich customization options: you can customize the style of tabs, size, font, color and even location.
