The new version of the Xbox app for Windows 10, and the announcement of the Xbox Beta
The Xbox app for Windows 10 was the subject of two news: update stable version and the announcement of the new beta. Regarding the first, the transition to version 9.9.16003.00000 brings the following changes:
- Update friends list in real time. The friends list is updated automatically and shows who is currently connected (offline/online), who plays what at the moment and is it possible to join them in multiplayer.
- Update the activity feed in real-time. To see new comments, links, or friends no longer need to refresh the feed manually.
- The opportunity to compare progress in games. Want to challenge a friend? No problem. Now you can compare your progress in a particular game with the achievement of your friend.
- Enter text into the Xbox One through the Xbox app. This feature, which was expected by many users. Now you can use the Xbox app on a computer or smartphone to enter text in the search box, and other sections of the dashboard of the Xbox One.
