New Lenovo Yoga with Windows
Last night at Lenovo held a special event in London. Despite the fact that we had a relatively clear idea of what will show without surprises has not managed. The good news is that these surprises are pleasant, type, and the models have something to attract the attention of consumers.
Before you move on to the product itself, I must point out one important fact that was highlighted during the event, Lenovo officially sells more tablets and smartphones than computers. However, yesterday we saw the notebook, which will definitely help the company in the second sector. We are talking about…
Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is an ultrabook with an innovative hinge
The new hybrid is thinner and lighter. Yoga 3 Pro marks an important step in the development of the series, as it introduces a new technology joint. In 2012 the company released the first model which allowed the user to move the display 360 degrees, so you can use the keyboard as a stand or close behind the display. This feature has become very popular and other manufacturers began to offer models with a similar opportunity.
Hinge new model also allows you to turn the device from a standard laptop into a tablet. However, the new system is a solid mechanism that runs along a laptop and replaces the two plastic (or aluminum) hinges used in such models. The new hinge provides a much higher safety and durability, as developed more than 800 steel and aluminum parts, and the connection with the 13.3-inch display is available in six locations.
Along with excellent visual effect the new hinge has enabled Lenovo to reduce the entire laptop by 14% and 17% in thickness compared to last year’s model. As a result, the thickness of the Yoga 3 Pro is only 12.8 mm.
13.3-inch IPS display has a resolution of 3200×1800 pixels. Laptop features processor of a new series of Core M (Intel Core-M 5Y70). This line differs from the traditional Core i4/i5/i5 and is designed for devices of the highest class – notebooks, hybrids and tablets. The processor is designed using the 14-nanometer process technology, and such frequency is 1.1 GHz, but in turbo mode increases up to 2.6 GHz. The laptop will be available in configurations with 4 GB and 8 GB of RAM, and for data storage will be used SSD with a capacity of 256 GB or 512 GB. The battery will provide up to 9 hours of battery life.
Lenovo also showed a new software function of Harmony, which changes the settings according to the app being used. For example, if you read the e-book, Harmony will change the brightness and color temperature according to the external light. And if you watch the film, will be optimized sound settings. According to Lenovo, Harmony can recognize up to 50 popular applications.
Yoga 3 Pro will go on sale before the end of the month at a price of 1349 to $ 1599.
